He wrote me a letter once.
This is it.
Dear Dad,I don’t understand why we can’t be together right now, but my brother Beezie is here with me, and he says that he visits you all the time and that you just can’t see him. So I guess that means I can too. Which is good.I still don’t like it.He also told me that we’ll be together again someday. I believe him.In the meantime, you don’t have to be sad.I’m still with you—in your thoughts, in your dreams, in the quiet moments of your day.Sometimes you might even catch a glimpse of me out of the corner of your eye if you look fast enough.I’ve written down some things I think might help—little lessons about love, courage, and what really matters. They’re here in these pages, waiting for you.Whenever you need me, just think of me.Close your eyes.
Take a breath.
Open this book to any page.I’ll be right there.Love,
George
